Gerald Cason has spent most of his life looking for golf balls. No, no, he’s a good golfer. He starting in the golf ball recycling industry when he was just a mere lad of 17. As an avid diver and golf enthusiast, it was a natural fit. That was over 30 years ago.
As a teenager, he applied for a job, only to have the owner, Jim Reid, tell him that they weren’t hiring at that time. The owner had to take a phone call and stepped in the back of the office. As Gerald waited, he took it upon himself to sweep the shop’s floor and clean up a bit. When the shop’s owner came back about half an hour later, he asked his son who had cleaned up the shop. His son replied “Gerald did.” When asked why he had cleaned the shop, Gerald said “Because it needed it.”
Jim hired Gerald on the spot. Not too long after, Gerald was made a partner in the business and after four years had helped it grow to over $5 million dollars in sales.

Gerald started a company called Players Choice. It was the first company to refinish golf balls. His recycled and refinished golf balls were the best in the industry. The quality and consistency of his product drew the attention of a lot of people.
Gerald has set the standard for the recycled golf ball market and has run several successful companies.
